„Plastics made in Berlin-Brandenburg” at the world’s largest International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber in Düsseldorf

Potsdam/Düsseldorf, 18th October 2016 - For the fourth consecutive time the German Capital Region Berlin-Brandenburg will participate with its own pavilion at the Trade Fair “K 2016” taking place in Düsseldorf from October 19th – 26th 2016. Following the motto “Plastics by tradition and future – Made in Berlin-Brandenburg” 20 exhibitors from Berlin-Brandenburg will be present at the collective pavilion organized by the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK Potsdam) in hall 8b stand E 61

The following exhibitors are participating for the first time at the Berlin-Brandenburg Pavilion: Bach Resistor Ceramics GmbH, Werneuchen (innovative ceramic heating elements), Cleo Schreibgeräte GmbH, Bad Wilsnack (production of sophisticated fine writing instruments), Neolastic GmbH, Berlin (production of rubber mouldings and metal rubber combinations).

Brandenburg has developed into a major hub for the European chemistry and synthetics industries. With around 620 companies, 12,900 employees and a turnover of more than €3 billion in the 2011 fiscal year, this cluster is a solid pillar of the region’s industrial landscape and belongs to one of the ten most important growth and export sectors. The range of products stretches from high-quality car paint that is used all over the world to innovative machine parts and system components for the aerospace industry. The cluster management is run by the ZukunftsAgentur Brandenburg (ZAB). Hardly any other economic sector in Brandenburg enjoys such close ties with other industries.
