FINALUX - EP - 846

Description:
Complex Oleochemical derivative

Specifications:
Appearance    :    Amber colour liquid

Sp. Gravity    :    1,005 @ 25°C

APPLICATIONS :

Powerful internal lubricant for Epoxy Resin based Pultrusion and Moulding applications
Imparts excellent Mould Release properties
Ensures uniform wetting of reinforcement
Reduces pull force and improves line speed
Can be incorporated directly into the resin, thereby eliminating the need for any external Mould Release agent
Reduces sloughing, alongwith extending the bath life
Effective antistatic agent
Recommended for all types of Amine & Anhydride cure systems
Aids in ensuring excellent curing characteristics, with no adverse effect on the cured resin
Would not interfere with secondary operations such as decorating, silk screen printing, painting, bonding or plating

Method of Mixing in RESIN:

For best results, in a two part Thermoset resin system, mix Finalux - EP - 846 in the less reactive or in the lower viscosity part before catalyzing.

PLASTAID-T

PLASTAID-T is a Multifunctional Processing Aid (MPA) for highly filled Polyolefins like Filled PP/PE compounds, Colour masterbatches, TPO/TPE compounds.

PLASTAID-T has sites available for hydrogen bonding and is therefore able to act as a coupling agent between base polymer and filler materials.

Specifications:

Melting point: 110°C ± 10

Applications:

 Filled PP/ PE compounds based on Talc, Calcium Carbonate, glass fibre etc. PE based colour masterbatches
Flame retarded compounds
Highly filled TPE and TPO Compounds
Rubber modified polymer systems/elastomers
Thermosetting moulding powder, like PF moulding powder
SMC / BMC compounds

Properties:

Lower viscosity and improved flow at processing temperature
Better and homogeneous dispersion of fillers and additives
Higher impact properties in talc filled PP Compounds
Reduced and more uniform mould shrinkage
Easier mould release in most systems
Better surface appearance
Nonoblooming properties permit painting or decorating
Lower die swell
More homogeneous dispersions of TPO blends and highly filled systems

In addition, PLASTAID-T can be also used in those standard unfilled polymers where reduced melt viscosity and flow improvement are desired at processing conditions. In many systems better surface appearance with lower and more uniform mould shrinkage is achieved. Property losses are negligible for most compounds at the normal addition levels of PLASTAID-T. It is also suggested as a lubricant for polyolefins, PVC, PS, ABS, PET and many of TPO and TPE systems. PLASTAID-T is also suitable for epoxy, phenolics, SMC/BMC and other thermosetting compounds.

Use Level:    0,5 to 1,5 % on totalcompound weight

RIGID PVC:
External lubricant
Improves flow
Antiblocking agent
Does not affect clarity of PVC films/sheets

Use Level : 0.1 to 2.0 phr

PLASTICIZED PVC:

 External lubricant
 Improves release properties
 Excellent antiblock and slip properties

Use Level : 0.2 to 2.0 phr

POLYOLEFINS:

  Good release effect on rolls and moulds in case of PE/VAC copolymers
 Flow improver and mould release agent for filled PP/PE compounds
 Antiblock properties in PE LD/PVC co-polymers applications

POLYAMIDE/NYLON:

 Mould release agent
 Improves surface finish

ABS/POLYSTYRENE:

 Improves flow and mould release properties

USE LEVEL:

For ABS - FINAWAX-C can be used up to 2phr

For PS to be printed or painted later, the maximum quantity to be used must be determined by test.

TPU:

In Thermoplastic Polyurethane, FINAWAX-C works as an internal mould release agent in injection moulding at 0.1 to 1.0 phr level.
