All mechanical manufacturing steps for the production of a screw – from turning the raw material to welding the hard-facing up to final polishing – are executed by murex employees in our own production work in Wängi (CH). The screws have to be sent to extern specialists just for heat treatments to harden the surface (for example gas nitriding) and for coating (for example hard-chrome-plating).
Our product variety contains:
• Nitrided screws with diameter 30 mm up to ca. 280 mm; length up to 6000 mm (gasnitrided or plasma-nitrided)
• Hard-faced screws with welded flights (bimetalic screws): Stellite 6, Stellite 12, Stellite 1, Colmonoy 56 und Wolframcarbid (same dimensions as nitriding-screws)
• Double-screws (same dimensions as nitriding-screws)
• Through-hardened screws with diameters 30 mm up to 105 mm; ,max. length up to 2850 mm
There are various materials (also stainless steels) available for nitriding-screws, double-screws and hard-faced screws (basis material). For through-hardened screws, there are different through-hardenable materials (tool steels and powder metallurgy steels) available. For all our screws we offer you various coatings in cooperation with partner companies: Chrome-plating, chemical nickel-plating, TiN-coating, CrN-coating, high speed-flame spraying (full packaging).
Further coatings and procedures on request.
