STEINERT Elektromagnetbau GmbH, a family company established in Cologne which currently employs a workforce of about 300 people, has been delivering top technical separation solutions for the primary and secondary raw materials sector for more than 120 years.

STEINERT is a full-range supplier and one of the world’s leading companies in this field, with systems including its proven magnetic separators and innovative sensor sorting systems, for example the induction sorting system STEINERT ISS and the X-ray sorting system STEINERT XSS.

The UniSort PR is used to separate out materials from to the “Dual System”—the German packaging recycling system. This involves the sorting of packaging made of different plastics, for example. Or the UniSort Flake, which is based on near-infrared technology. It combines functionality and design and showed the interested specialists just what the three-metre-long machine can achieve in sorting plastics by colour and material and in the separation of aluminium and copper in fine-grain fractions.
