Headquartered in Saudi Arabia, Sipchem produces approximately 2.5 million metric tons of basic and intermediate chemicals and polymers used in the agriculture, automotive, chemicals, coatings, construction, electronics, insulation, packaging, paints, pharmaceutical and textile industries around the world. Sipchem has built a Product and Application Development Center to support the development of polymer products and their applications. Sipchem products are partially marketed by one of its affiliates, Sipchem Marketing Company (SMC). SMC acquired Aectra SA, located in Geneva, that mainly functions in the marketing activities, logistic services and commercial expertise in the European markets. In addition, SMC has established a representation office in Singapore to add strategic depth in logistics services and marketing which enable SMC to cover the clients in Asia.
Sipchem is the first chemical manufacturing company in the Kingdom to achieve “Responsible Care” certification. In line with its corporate social responsibility, Sipchem supports community welfare initiatives by allocating 1% of its total net annual profit to such programs.
