GC-coil

‘GC-coil’ coiled tube cartridges in different cross sections and dimensions provide
high electrical heat capacity in a small installation area, at operating temperatures
from up to 750 °C on the cartridge sheath.

The minimum bending radius from 3.0 to 10.0 mm (depending on the cross section)
allowsthe use of the ‘GC-coil’ coiled tube cartridges not only in extended or coiled
form, but also in virtually every geometrical form. An integrated thermal element
allows exact temperature guidance.

In nozzle heating systems, the ‘GC-coil’ allows individual power distribution through
the requirement-specific design of the gradient of the individual coils. Clamping
mechanisms, such as the ‘GC-coil axial’, or the complete embedding of the heat
element, such as in the ‘GC-compact’, provide an additional tight seal and therefore
optimum heat distribution on the nozzle radiator. All ‘GC-coil’ coiled tube cartridges
are availablewith different outputs and connection types, always coordinated to the
respective applications, are available.

GC-flex

The external sheath, made of metal mesh hose, adapts to every bed and
presses evenly into the surface of the groove, without air pockets.
This guarantees an optimum heat transfer at a high mechanical load.

GC-jacket

The ‘GC-jacket’ seals and clamps – for days, weeks, months and years.

The ‘GC-jacket’ is, simply stated, a slotted metallic tube, which solidly clamps the
‘GC-coil’ coiled tube cartridge to the cylindrical hot runner nozzle at temperatures
up to 550 °C.

The material properties of the ‘GC-jacket’, in conjunction with the
thin-walled structure, resolve all issues of conventional clamping
mechanisms easily and efficiently:

))) The ‘GC-jacket’ presses the heating element solidly onto the nozzle just through
its material-related self-clamping. With its clamping distance, it adapts to the
diameter tolerances of the heating element. Once it is clamped open, the
‘GC jacket’ guarantees vibration and shock-proof pressure. All re-clamping thereby
becomes unnecessary.

))) The extremely high resistance of the material over time, also including the
temperature (> 10.000 h at 550 °C), guarantees permanently solid pressure of
the ‘GC-coil’ coil tube cartridge on the nozzle for months and years.

))) The permanent pressure ensures a constant thermal coupling of heating and
the nozzle. This allows maximum heat capacity and heat transfer with consistent
temperature management.

))) Due to the minimal mass of the ‘GC-jacket’, compared to copper or brass
embedments, the thermal reactions are very fast for precise temperature
management. Because no heat exchange can occur in the nozzle heating system,
a consistently more systematic power and temperature distribution on the nozzle
is possible.

GC-cart

‘GC-cart’ high-performance heat cartridges guarantee high resistance under difficult
operating conditions through a special manufacturing process and through the use
of high-quality materials. High surface loads allow great performance in a small
installation area at operating temperatures from up to 700 °C on the heating
cartridge sheath.

‘GC-cart’ high-performance heating cartridges correspond to international standards
in metrical and inch dimensions. All models are subject to a quality check per piece
according to VDE 0721. In terms of stock capacity, 10 different diameters between
1/4" or 6.5 mm and 5/8" or 20.0 mm. Other diameters between 1/8" and 1 1/4" are
available on short notice. This makes it possible to equip most applications with
cost-effective serial heating cartridges.

For special application areas, GC-heat offers the development and manufacture of
optional or customer-specific models, for example, with individual power distribution,
switchable heating zones, integrated thermal element, and with assembly and
disassembly aids. Different feed types and connection types also allow the
adaptation of the ‘GC-cart’ high-performance heating cartridges to the respective
installation situation.

GC-flex hermetic

The proven ‘GC-flex’, already firmly established on the market for hot runner
systems will be effective available immediately, also with a hermetically sealed
connection head. Gases or liquids (e.g. humidity or oil) are now permanently
prevented from penetrating inward.

This means, for example, the gradual adjustment of the radiator
– even after extended storage.
This is achieved by a new temperature-resistant of up to 450 °C.

Through high temperature resistance, the electrical connection is direct to the
heated tool in a space-saving manner.

GC-flex hermetic vario

The „GC-flex hermetic vario“ complements our range of flexible heaters for tool
heating. What’s special? The one-side connection gives you more variability
regarding the dimensions of your tool. Manifolds for example can be designed
more compact as the heater can end anywhere in the manifold. You don’t need
to bring a second connection back to the connection area. Hence, also the
unheated connection area can be reduced. Also, there is an option for
including a T/C inside the heater.

As all products of our hermetic range, also the “GC-flex hermetic vario” is
equipped with a hermetically sealed connection head. This prevents any
liquids or gases from being absorbed by the heater. Thus, they a suited
perfectly for worldwide usage as well as longer periods of storage or non-use.
