The new HNBR family is said to provide an improvement in mould flow, improved filling of mould cavities, and a good safety margin against scorch to help eliminate knit lines and part delamination. According to the company, the new products achieve a good balance of heat and environmental resistance as well as good dynamic properties.Furthermore, Zeon offers two new high-temperature polyacrylate elastomer grades: HyTemp AR214 is designed for use in transmission oil cooler hoses and other automotive parts requiring improved compression set and sealing force retention. Combining benefits of Nipol AR14 with improved processing safety, the new grade offers a service temperature range from -40 °C to 160 °C and has been optimised for extrusion and injection moulding applications.HyTemp AR13FR was developed for powertrain seals and gaskets, and offers improved fuel resistance over traditional ACMs and HT-ACMs. With a service temperature range of -30 °C to 160 °C, the new grade combines the heat resistance of an ACM with fuel resistance approaching NBR levels. Like AR214, it features the improved compression set and sealing force retention achieved by polymerising with the HT-ACM cure-site technology.
