Yaskawa moves Brazilian drives, robots businesses into larger, shared space

Yaskawa America Inc.'s (YAI) businesses, Motoman Robótica do Brasil and Yaskawa Eléctrico do Brasil Ltd., will move from separate locations into a single, larger site in São Paulo, Brazil. The newly constructed manufacturing campus in Diadema will have 56,000 sq ft of manufacturing space, 38,000 sq ft of office space, and a 6000 sq ft training space, for a total of more than 100,000 sq ft.

Yaskawa, which manufactures AC drives, motion control products, and industrial robots, stated in a release that both divisions will gain increased efficiencies and production capacity through co-locating, but will remain as independent divisions. Both companies expected to be fully operational at the new site by mid-July, with approximately 150 employees to be located on the new campus.
