WEMO will exhibit at the Düsseldorf K' Show with advanced product series. The range includes three series, with either the E-, X- or S-Design used depending on operative requirements. All linear robots of the three series operate in the X, Y and Z axis with servomotor drives which are highly precise and extremely fast.
One highlight of the handling range are the new linear robots of the
E Design series, their outstanding features being economy in use, ultimate efficiency and low energy consumption. These cost-effective base robots are especially energy-efficient and effective. The series features three models for removal weights ranging from 4 kg to 10 kg. They are used mainly for gate removal units (pick and place) and for downstream machining processes. At K’ a WEMO 6-5 E-Design for automation in function will be displayed.
The robots of the X Design series meet ultimate demands in terms of flexibility and are the focus of the exhibition program. They are highly versatile and have been developed for more complex automation. They are capable of performing as many as 5 axis movements and are offered in eight construction sizes with nominal load capacities of between 5 kg and 75 kg. The X Design series is suitable for injection moulding machines with clamping forces ranging from 250 to 40,000 kN.
For even greater complexities, as many as 5 additional servo axis may be integrated optionally for peripheries and driven via the robot control. Of this series, a 16-5 X-Design with 5 servo axis will be on display in Düsseldorf.
For the removal of packaging parts, WEMO offers the S Design series which is similar in construction principle to the new X series.
These high-speed handling units are optimised for ultimate efficiency and speed. They are preferably used for the appropriate packaging parts and medical applications on two-platen and stack moulds. They have a cycle time of < 2.5 sec. On display is an integrated IML solution with side robot type WEMO 7-5 of the S Design series.
For thin-wall parts in the packaging industry, WEMO offers a special equipment for IML applications which may be used both for sideways and top removal. Depending on size of the injection moulding machine, a choice of two different removal units is available.
Reliable and user-friendly is WEMO's WIPS handling control (WEMO Intuitive Programming System) used in all three construction series. With the touch-screen user interface, the handling programming is intuitive and easy to learn. The process sequences are divided into predefined functions. Pictograms guide the operator step by step through the robot program.
Next to the handling units, WEMO also offers a broad range of automation equipment items for the plastics industry, including a wide variety of different grippers and safety systems and standardised follow-up units such as conveyor belts.
