"WELLTEC" Greenline Se series double closed-loop servo-driven energy saving injection moulding machines take the lead in achieving the National Energy Saving Grade #1 technical standard certified by the National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center of Plastic Machinery (NCPM).

With the international energy resources become increasingly intense, energy saving issue turns into the priority research and immediate task for more and more enterprises. In October 2009, the Chinese plastic machinery industry formulated the work according to «Plastic Injection Moulding Machines Energy Consumption Testing and Rating Standard» and will formally implement in the whole industry.

Injection moulding machines energy consumption is classified into 6 grades, Grade #1 is the most energy-efficient. Machine produces the standardized samples with less than 0.4 kW.h/kg consumption is classified as Grade #1 standard. Currently there are only a few machine manufacturers can achieve this standard.

We carry out the research spirit of pursuing energy efficiency with technological innovation in the last century, the late 90s. We developed the application of fixed displacement vane pump with frequency inverter on injection moulding machine to be used in long moulding cycle in 1998, which was the first machine manufacturer utilized this design concept for mass production. With the economic trend and popularization of the servo-driven system in the beginning of 21st century, we developed the Sv series energy saving injection moulding machine with double closed-loop servo-driven piston pump in 2007, and were widely recognized by the industry.

At the beginning of 2009, we set up the strategic OEM alliance with the foreign and domestic key component suppliers to create the energy-saving and high precision injection moulding machines with relatively cost-effective and most popularity. Se series double closed-loop servo-driven energy saving injection moulding machine was developed with the technological advantage of mechanical, hydraulic and electric control, and underwent many PDCA cycles, was successfully exhibited at the Chinaplas in May, 2009.

Se series is the renewed version of Sv. The performance is outstanding but more affordable. For example, the Se holding time is unlimited which is different from the other general injection moulding machines by overcoming the temperature rise problem caused by long holding time in servo motor and driver, etc. In addition, the whole Se series standard machines are suitable for PMMA and all kinds of engineering plastics moulding, also with double-displacement piston pump, the consumption in holding and cooling phase can be saved more than 50% comparing with other machines which are using gear pump or screw pump system. The product weight repeatability can also be reduced to less than 0.2%. Se series are defined as general purpose injection moulding machines, but with superior performance and quality. For example, Se series machines are equipped with German non-contact type absolute position transducers which are high precise resolution with almost infinite service life. Electronic energy meter is also a standardized item, customers can see the energy consumption directly. We are the first one in the China industry to use these items as the standard configuration.

With the successful examples in elevator and automobile industries, we developed injection moulding machines with the concept of brake-energy regeneration usage. The working condition of injection moulding machine requires frequent start-up and braking of servo-driven hydraulic unit, recovery of kinetic braking energy can further enhance the energy saving effect. Equipped with energy regenerative unit, the braking module together with current-rectifier module will store the excessive energy in the form of electric energy onto storage module. Upon coming start-up of servo-motor, the stored energy will be recovered to DC bus-bar for supplementing the electricity needed. We have successfully applied this technique onto injection moulding machines with the great support of our strategic OEM partners. The regenerative energy can reach 3%-5% in medium-sized machines through different conditions tested. The patent applications of design invention and utility model have been accepted by the National Patent Office. Se injection moulding machine with "Servo-driven Hydraulic Brake-energy Regeneration Usage Device" was exhibited in Chinaplas in Shanghai in April, 2010. The above products innovation follows our competitive strategy of "Focused Differentiation" to provide the customers with the finest and "unique" products.

In January 2010, the NCPM expert group processed a thorough onsite examination on the Se series (below 1000T). Se series injection moulding machines passed all the stringent inspection and testing conducted by NCPM, not only reaching the standard but also significantly exceeded the National Grade #1 energy-saving standard. In March 2010, our 1800Se machine (1800T clamping force) successfully produced the electrical plastic samples with 0.36kW.h/kg energy consumption, and NCPM validated the testing result, appraising as Grade #1 energy saving standard which is the first large-sized injection moulding machine obtaining this rating.

One of our Malaysian customers produced the paint buckets as example, they used the Japanese 650T variable pump injection moulding machine which was charging Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) 710 electricity each day. The daily electricity charge was reduced to MYR 250.6 (decrease range of 64.7%) by using our 600Se machine since September 2009. Besides this, Se also has other performance better than the Japanese 650T machine, such as the production cycle and oil temperature, etc. The customer said there's a plan to replace the old machines gradually with Se injection moulding machines.
