Verbruggen and EDI formally come together as Nordson EDI Europe

The former Verbruggen plant at Temse, Belgium is now the home of Nordson EDI Europe, joining the flat die businesses acquired by Nordson over the prior two years under one European roof, offering European customers locally made dies with Verbruggen and EDI technologies.

In June, the former Constructiewerkhuizen G. Verbruggen, NV was formally changed to Nordson EDI Europe NV. Parent company Nordson acquired Verbruggen in 2011 and one year later purchased fellow flat die manufacturer Extrusion Dies Industries LLC (EDI), which it subsequently renamed Nordson EDI. The new operation makes its global debut this October in Düsseldorf at the K (Oct. 16-23; Hall 02, Stand G06)

Andrei Stapinoiu, managing director of Nordson EDI Europe NV, said in a release that the move means Europe will "enjoy the economic and logistical benefits of having local access to a broader range of products and increased capabilities for technical support and remanufacturing service."...
