IQMS has won a national business award for the latest version of its EnterpriseIQ enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, beating out fellow ERP software providers QAD and Syspro in three different categories including Most Innovative Company of the Year and People's Choice Award for Best Manufacturing Product. Specifically, its EnterpriseIQ 7.8.1 won the 2011 American Business Award in the New Manufacturing Product of the Year category. The latest iteration of the ERP program features more than 900 new tools and reports across all aspects of the software with a development focus on providing functionality and efficiency.
Randy Flamm, president of IQMS, noted that 90% of the developments in the newest release were contributed directly by its customers, "So this award is as much theirs as it is ours," Flamm said. Through the company's client suggestion portal, Community Server, IQMS received input that ultimately guided its development of the new software over the last two years.
The so-called Stevie Awards are conferred in four programs: The American Business Awards, The International Business Awards, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business, and the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service. This year's awards were presented during ceremonies on Monday, June 20 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.
