Tosaf starts 50,000 tons production plant for tailor-made plastic compounds

Tosaf, a leading international manufacturer of high quality compounds, color and additive masterbatches for the plastics industry, has recently completed the start-up of a new compounding plant in Afula/Israel. With an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons, the new factory adds to the company's existing capacity of 90,000 tons per year for compounds and masterbatches. As Tosaf's Joseph Halberstam, Director, International Business, comments: "This new plant is Tosaf's response to the above average increase in demand for our tailor-made high performance compounds. This step distinctly strengthens our responsiveness in satisfying specific customer requests worldwide.”

Tosaf Group, founded in 1985, is a joint-venture between Megides Holding and the Ravago Group, with an expected turnover of more than 200 Million € in 2010. The group operates nine factories in Israel, Turkey, Germany, UK (Colloids Ltd., specializing in black as well as color masterbatches), The Netherlands and the Ukraine, with a total of 720 employees. At K 2010 Tosaf will present its versatile range of products in Hall 8A on Stand D01. These include mineral-filled compounds for the white goods industry, automotive and other plastic industries; additives such as UV-/light stabilizers, flame retardants and customized additives for applications including BOPP, agricultural, packaging and industrial films, polycarbonate sheets, pipes, foams and other products; and color masterbatches for a wide range of applications.
