New blender technology which aims to improve the cost/performance balance for plastics manufacturers by allowing throughputs to be measured in real time, will be on display at this year’s KShow in Germany from TSM Controls.
This latest product development combines the benefits of TSM’s patented reverse auger technology with an ultra-fast, responsive throughput measurement.
TSM Director of Sales Declan Byrne says the new blender has unique advantages and will provide TSM customers with guaranteed quality and repeatability while reducing raw material costs.
“The fast, responsive throughput measurements will benefit plastics producers by giving them real-time control. This will significantly improve the accuracy and consistency of their end product, reduce waste and improve cost efficiency.”
A new control algorithm, which has been specially developed in conjunction with a leading UK university, delivers exceptional control allowing performance to be maintained at lower setpoints. The unique mechanical design delivers a small footprint, making it ideal for either new or retrofit installations.
Mr. Byrne says the blender development came about in response to an industry need for highly responsive control systems. “Plastics producers are increasingly looking to use less raw materials to make more consistent end-product and decrease wastage. This new technology fully addresses these challenges.”
