Entries are now being accepted for the SPI's "Shaping Your World" student video contest, which runs through August 31, 2011. The contest is open to college undergrads and graduate students enrolled in a plastics program at any accredited postsecondary educational institution in the U.S. Complete rules-there aren't many and they're easy to follow- can be found here.
The videos can be any style-funny, dramatic, informative, and so forth- but need to be between 2-4 minutes in length. The video must examine a way in which plastics benefit society. One important rule is that only one video will be judged per entrant; no bombarding SPI with 600 videos. The contest is part of the 75th anniversary celebration of SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association, and is held in conjunction with The Future of Plastics Foundation.
