In a move to restructure its converting operations, Stora Enso Renewable Packaging will close its corrugated packaging mill in Páty, Hungary and initiate efficiency measures at its consumer board mill in Barcelona, Spain.
According to the company, converting operations at its Páty Mill in Hungary will be permanently closed down by the end of the third quarter of 2012, and will affect 79 employees.
The proposed restructuring measures may reduce the number of employees at Barcelona in Spain by 15. No decisions will be taken until after the local co-determination negotiations have concluded, the company stated.
