Solvay Specialty Polymers (Alpharetta, GA), recently announced a major expansion in the medical market and is releasing several new products to support its plan.
In one move, the company standardized the color range of its Radel polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) resins, so that standard opaque colors are available for the healthcare industry. Solvay's Radel PPSU is used for reusable applications including medical and dental instruments, sterilization cases, trays, and lids, and medical equipment.
"This launch further supports our mission as a full-service supplier to medical equipment and device makers," says Maria Gallahue-Worl, global business manager for healthcare for Solvay Specialty Polymers. "This expanded color palette gives medical device manufacturers new opportunities in terms of design, aesthetics, and branding"...
