Saint-Gobain buys German processor focused on auto and medical sectors

Saint-Gobain (Paris) reports that it has finalized the acquisition of plastics processor LS Kunststofftechnologie GmbH (Wertheim, Germany). The company produces high-performance polymer components at two production sites in Wertheim and Neuhaus, primarily for the automotive and medical sectors. Saint Gobain describes the acquisition as a perfect fit with its strategy of emphasizing high-performance and co-developed solutions.

LS works almost exclusively with high-performance polymers to develop custom products. Molded parts include seal rings and thrust washers for gearboxes and drives and low-maintenance bearings.
