Rogan triples cleanroom molding capability

Rogan Corp., a 78-year-old injection molder based in Northbrook, IL, is tripling the size of its clean room molding capability in a drive to build its medical business, particularly for elastomeric components.

"If the projection of growth in the overall economy is 2% then the projection for growth in medical is 9% and we want to be a part of that," Rogan President Jim Ritzema told Plastics Today in an interview.

Rogan recently added a 1,500 square foot clean room and will add an additional 1,000 square foot clean room later this year for assembly operations. Four Sodick Plustech liquid silicone rubber (LSR) molding machines have been installed in the clean room....
