QATAR: Muntajat becoming 'gateway' for Qatar's chemical and petrochemical products

The transition of marketing, sales and distribution activities to Muntajat for products produced by the three companies is underway. Muntajat will now be responsible for 100% of chemicals, polymers and fertilizers produced in the State of Qatar. With the transition, high-density polyethylene, medium-density polyethylene, normal alpha olefins, 1-hexene and pygas will be added to Muntajat's extensive portfolio of Qatari chemical and petrochemical products. Muntajat said it already has 16 offices in place to market the products. The offices are located in the Middle East, the Far East, Africa and Australia as well as its headquarters located in the World Trade Center in Hague, the Netherlands, which was inaugurated this past December. Investments of billions of dollars will be made in Qatar's chemical and petrochemicals fields by 2020, fueling rapid growth and supporting the nation's economic development and diversification as it moves towards what has been dubbed the "chemical and petrochemical decade," Muntajat explained.
