Polyamide 11, 12 use in 3D printing to grow exponentially


The use of polyamide (PA) 11 and 12 resins in 3D printing is set for explosive growth according to a recent report by Indian consulting company Markets and Markets (Pune). This growth will primarily be driven by the automotive industry, as well as the healthcare, and aerospace and defense sectors.

Markets and Markets has painted two growth scenarios, the first with scenario one with a "comparatively normal growth" of a still impressive 27-odd percent, and the second forecasting exponential CAGR of 41.2% through to 2020. These two extremes point to a market scale in 2020 of somewhere between $48.6 million and $85.1 million.
