Plasticiser-free sealings for Feinkost Dittmann delicatessen

Metal vacuum closures using PVC-free Provalin 1241Two years later the first packagings using this material are in the stores. The market launch was a matter not only of developing suitable machines and finding lid producers who could work with the TPE granulate, but also persuading a packager to seal and market products with lids using the PVC-free product. Moreover, the use of Provalin also requires the use of new varnish systems.
Beside close cooperation with two machinery manufacturers and the affiliated company Actega Rhenania, competent partners were found in Pano Verschluss GmbH and Reichold Feinkost (Feinkost Dittmann).

Pano has been producing metal vacuum caps for glass jars for more than 70 years now and today is one of four major German manufacturers in this field for the German and European market.
With Blue Seal powered by Provalin, the company based in Itzehoe is the first manufacturer to offer metal vacuum closures using PVC-free seals with which jars can be sealed as securely as before.
Feinkost Dittmann has been producing delicatessen products for nearly 100 years. The first 10,000 jars were sealed with PVC-free twist-off lids in a test phase already in February. In the meantime, Feinkost Dittmann has marketed some 300,000 jars as the first packager in the market.
