Oxea: Rise in prices for carboxylic acids and polyols

Effective immediately, US chemicals group Oxea (Dallas, Texas; www.oxea-chemicals.com) will increase the prices for carboxylic acids and polyols. In Europe, the group will charge an additional EUR 100/t for 2-ethylhexanoid acid, butyric acid will cost an additional EUR 50/t and the price of both neopentylglycol and trimethylolpropane will rise by EUR 300/t.


The group also said it would charge an extra USD 0.08/lb for 2-ethylhexanoid acid in the Americas. Also in this region, the prices of neopentylglycol and trimethylolpropane will rise by USD 0.15/lb. In Asia, the hike will translate into a surcharge of USD 150/t for 2-ethylhexanoid acid, USD 100/t for butyric acid and USD 300/t for both neopentylglycol and trimethylolpropane.
