Nypro explores options for Hungary plant

A spokesman for precision injection molder Nypro Inc. says the company is “exploring several options” to keep its plant in Nagyigmand, Hungary, open.

“A definitive decision to shut down production has not been made at this time,” said Nypro spokesman Al Cotton Aug. 12. A wire service report had said that the plant, which employs less than 60 people, would close at the end of August.

Cotton said “demand has gone down” in Europe for the consumer electronics...
