Nitroil to present new developments at ECS

Another innovation is the just patented Syn-Solve reactive nano-chemistry incorporating nano-reactive building-blocks, that enables anti-microbial, anti-fouling, and flame retardance properties to polyurethane and polyurea coatings. Syn-Solve is offered as additive compound or coating system. While conventional coatings suffer from leaching of additives, e. g. flame retardants, biocides, and antimicorobial additives, Syn-Solve coatings are non-fugitive and non-leaching, says Nitroil. The newly developed nano-scaled dispersion PC SynSolve 42 is an autocatalytically reactive compound accelerating the polyurethane reaction, replacing activators/catalysts, and eliminating fogging or VOCs.In addition, the range of UV stable clear coats will be presented with recently introduced grades. According to the company, the base coat PC CC 245 offers a hardness > 80 Shore D combined with good anti-growth properties in various environments. Highly resistant coatings with antifouling properties can be achieved with PC CC 246 with a hardness > 75 Shore D. PC CC 775 with a hardness of 50 Shore D allows higher elongation and impact resistance. Furthermore, Nitroil announced it will present its complete range of metal- and amine-based PU catalysts, including a range of chemical built-in VOC-free catalysts.Nitroil at ECS 2013, hall 4A, stand 201
