The partnership allows the company to market cellpur for applications like bedding and upholstered furniture. The first step is to market cellpur in its familiar form while in the future the relationship may be further intensified, says Eurofoam. The foam material will be primarily marketed into the bedding industry, either as toppers or comfort layers in mattress cores. At the fair Mebel 2012 in Moscow, Evroplast presented a mattress core and pillows made of the Austrian comfort foam.cellpur is a joint development of Eurofoam and Lenzing, a specialist in the manufacture and processing of cellulose fibres. By integrating cellulose as a powder into the foam material structure the moisture absorption is considerably improved. The product is primarily used in mattresses and cushions but also, for example, in shoes and bra inserts. Furthermore, there are current initial projects additionally in the fields of the automobile industry and sports clothing.
