Markus DalPian, head of Netstal's business units for PET, CAP and PAC, told PlasticsToday that the Middle East and Africa represent an important market for the company in areas such as PET preforms, caps and closures in the packaging and medical industries.
"Customer demand in the United Arab Emirates for premium beverage bottles and closures is high right now," DalPian said. "We serve a big number of customers in that area and we see strong growth in the future."
The Netstal brand, part of KraussMaffei Group, recently demonstrated its injection molding machines for beverage, medical and packaging industries at the international trade show, Gulfood (Feb. 25-28; Dubai).
Nestal's partner in the area, Integrated Packaging Systems (IPS), features a portfolio of products that helps give Netstal access to various industries in the food and beverage sector that require injection molding technology, DalPian said. An extensive, close-knit partner network means that Netstal's turnkey systems are configured for top quality, short cycle times and low material costs, the company said. Nestal works to apply application and system expertise to specific customer applications.
