Custom molder and contract manufacturer Xten Industries (Kenosha, WI) has appointed Ken Lippold as its new director of sales. Lippold, a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and who retired in 1999 from the Air Force Reserves with the rank of lieutenant colonel, sold medical instruments and disposables for several manufacturers, and most recently was owner of his own Wisconsin-based medical distribution company. Lippold will be filling the vacancy created by the February death of the company's then VP of sales, Conrad Hauser.
Frank Kuijpers, general manager for global technology at SABIC Innovative Plastics, will deliver the plenary address at the Society of Plastics Engineers Eurotec 2011 conference (Nov. 14-15; Barcelona, Spain), held in conjunction with Equiplast. A graduate of the Technical University of Eindhoven in the Netherlands, Kuijpers started his career at DSM's licensing subsidiary, Stamicarbon, as process engineer. He went on to hold several positions in engineering, manufacturing, business, and corporate staff departments, before moving into executive management roles for R&D, Strategy Planning & Development, and Large Capital Projects and transitioning to SABIC.
