Sheet-extrusion technology supplier Welex Inc. announced that company president, Wayne Lewis, will be leaving the company after 31 years, staying on in a transitional period while Welex's parent company, W Bar E Inc., searches for his replacement. Lewis had intended to leave Welex four years ago, but instead stayed on while it undertook construction of its new manufacturing facility in Greenville, NC and several product launches. Lewis joined Welex in 1980, wending his way through various positions in the intervening 31 years, including plant manager, general manager, and vice president. He became company president in 2007.
Engel North America, the York, PA-based division of the Austrian company, has added two new members to its U.S. headquarters in Pennsylvania. Mark Lessig has joined Engel North America as its manager of robots/automation, bringing with him 22 years experience in automation and systems integration, as well as process, systems, and sales engineering for companies in the printing, communications, and various other industries.
Jim Smith rejoins Engel's inside customer support team, bringing with him 29 years of experience with Engel's products and services. Engel said Smith's return provides its customers with "an extremely knowledgeable and experienced resource to assist in their technical service needs."...
