Plastics industry veteran Tim Womer has hung out his consultant shingle and is now offering consulting services covering all forms of plastics processing, primarily focusing on plasticizing component design and processing technique. His new company, TW Womer and Associates, also offers in-house training seminars and expert witnessing.
The focus on plasticizing is no surprise as before forming his own business, Womer had held the position of chief technical officer for screw and barrel manufacturer Xaloy Inc. He joined Xaloy with the company's acquisition of New Castle Industries Inc. in 2003. Prior to that, he served in leadership positions in engineering and R&D at Spirex Corp., Conair, and NRM Corp.
He has also served as an independent consultant in plastics process engineering, and is now returning to those consulting roots. TW Womer and Associates LLC is based in Edinburg, PA. "Being brought up in a self-employed environment, I again have the opportunity to pursue a business of my own," said Womer in a statement.
