Names in the news: People on the move at Wittmann, Maag, Ferromatik, and Greiner Extrusion


The industry's outlook has steadily improved in the past year and this growth and more positive outlook has created some new job opportunities within the market. At auxiliary equipment and automation manufacturer Wittmann, Carlos Chávez, who helped the company form its Mexican subsidiary in 1999, has moved to take a position as the U.S. western territory manager of Wittmann Battenfeld Inc.; Wittmann in 2008 took over the former Battenfeld injection molding machine manufacturer.

Chávez's successor as general manager of the Mexican subsidiary, based in Querétaro, is Rodrigo Muñoz, formerly in charge of the Mexico City office.

At Maag Group, the manufacturer of pelletizing machinery, pump and filtration technology, formed through the merger of Automatik Plastics Machinery GmbH with Maag Pump Systems AG, Alaaddin Aydin has been appointed as sales director for Germany. He brings to the job more than 15 years in the polymer processing industry, including for five years as manager of a company in Atlanta, Georgia. Before joining Maag Group, he served as sales director at several different companies, most recently for a producer of pelletizing systems based in southwestern Germany....
