Hubertus Schulte, who recently stepped down as CEO of compounding extruder supplier, Leistritz Extrusiontechnik, has taken over responsibility for technology and production within the management team of Engel Austria. Schulte, a native of Westphalia, completed an apprenticeship as a toolmaker before earning a degree in machine technology, with an emphasis on plastics engineering and process technology, from the University of Paderborn.

Jeff Davis, with more than 23 years of executive experience in sales, marketing and general management in global pharmaceuticals, consumer package goods, and beauty businesses from Procter & Gamble, has joined AMSilk's advisory board. AMSilk produces Spidersilk biopolymers, attempting to harness the proteins of web-weaving spiders on an industrial scale.
