A. Schulman has promoted Bernard Rzepka to the role of executive VP COO, with Heinrich Lingnau named VP and general manager of Europe the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), with the company's board also announcing an option to extend CEO Joe Gingo's contract. Gingo was named president and CEO of A. Schulman on Jan. 1, 2008. He came to the company from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., where he was the executive VP of quality systems and chief technology officer.
The Conair Group has named Peter Armbruster as its national sales manager, giving him responsibility for all sales regions and local independent sales agents in the U.S. and Canada. Armbruster joined Conair in late 2011 as a regional manager. The move was announced by Stephen Petrakis, VP sales, U.S. and Canada. The release noted that Petrakis will continue to work with the sales team and representatives on a strategic level. Prior to Conair, Armbruster was a regional VP of sales for Novatec, and he began his plastics industry career in 1996 as a senior designer with the ACS Group.
Adolfo Edgar, a veteran of film extrusion suppliers Brampton Engineering and Macro Engineering & Technology, will be joining the Kuhne Group as its new VP blown-film systems. Based from Mississauga, ON, Edgar will be the direct contact for all U.S. and Canadian customers, responsible for selling and service management of Kuhne's blown-film equipment that including, conventional, triple-bubble, and water-quench blown-film lines.
