Wilbert Plastic Services Inc. had more than 900 employees at eight locations in North America, and now it has added significantly the its headcount with its acquisition of Easley Custom Plastics (ECP) and its 200 employees in Easley, South Carolina. Wilbert's HQ is in Belmont, NC, about two hours northeast of Easley. Wilbert Plastic Services uses heavy-gage thermoforming and injection molding machinery to serve customers in a wide variety of end-use markets. Easley's focus is on injection molding, with customers in the B&C, automotive, hand and power tools and other markets. Wilbert president and CEO Greg Botner said the acquisition gives his firm an even stronger footprint in the U.S. Southeast, where there is a substantial OEM manufacturing base and emerging industries.
