Names in the News: Industrial Molds hires, recycling awards earned, PUR award up for grabs, Quadrant goes 3 years accident-free


Rockford, IL-based injection mold manufacturer Industrial Molds Group announced that Bill Serritella has joined the company as account manager for the medical market. He comes to Industrial Molds Group with many years of experience as a mold maker and working with Fortune 500 medical device companies. Industrial Molds Group specializes in precision injection molds for the medical, automotive and packaging markets.

The American Chemistry Council announced the winners of its new Innovation in Plastics Recycling Awards. The winners include Axion International Inc. of New Providence, New Jersey; Nepco Industrial Company Ltd. of Chino, California; and Trex Company of Winchester, Virginia. The winners were recognized for developing products using post-consumer recycled plastics. Together, the three companies employee 700 and process about 325 million pounds of post-consumer plastics per year.

Axion uses recyclate in its rail ties and other building products. Trex is a leader in extrusion of wood/plastic siding and lumber, and consumes some 300 million lbs/yr of post-consumer polyethylene, primarily from bags and wraps.
