Milliken & Co. will present its advanced additives for packaging applications at PACKEX Toronto (May 14-16, 2013 at the Toronto Congress Centre, presented by PlasticsToday parent UBM Canon).
At booth #663, the company will showcase its Millad NX8000 clarifier for polypropylene (PP) and HyperformHPN nucleating agents for PP and polyethylene (PE), which offers molders and manufacturers a new level of aesthetics, processing efficiency and sustainability. These technologies can measurably improve clarity, minimize warpage and deliver cycle time reductions. Environmental benefits including energy savings, weight reduction and recyclability will be a special focus of Milliken's exhibit.
The company will invite attendees to use its special calculator, available as a free app from the AppleiTunesStore, to gauge estimated energy savings from upgrading to Millad NX 8000 clarifier, which the company said allows PP to be processed at significantly lower temperatures.
"We are looking forward to participating in PACKEX Toronto, demonstrating our strong commitment to the packaging industry in Canada," said Heather Newland, North America marketing manager for Milliken plastic additives. "Our clarifiers and nucleating agents can help customers not only improve product quality and processing efficiency but also achieve environmental improvements. The sustainability benefits of our additives support Canada's ongoing efforts to reduce its packaging footprint."
