Fürth/Germany, 9 October 2013: These days, it's not just belts or handbags that are required to match the color of the clothing. No, fashion conscious people even go a step further and expect mobile consumer electronic devices to come in the latest trendy colors. That's why you will see notebooks in the currently popular color of mustard yellow, or MP3 players or smartphones decorated in the delicate "winter pink" color or the elegant gray tones that dominated the 2013 fall season.
In keeping with this trend, the coating specialist Leonhard Kurz will be presenting at this year's plastics trade fair in Düsseldorf its current design range for decorating the surfaces of cell phones, tablet PCs, notebooks, etc. The latest trend colors can also be jazzed up with a wide variety of effects. At K 2013, Kurz will be showcasing richly pigmented inks that have been augmented with special lacquer effects to produce an attractive, variable color play. Kurz will also be exhibiting the trend colors in a wide range of metallized variants, thereby responding to another fashion trend: a pronounced metallic look. Besides a diverse collection of printed brushed designs, you will also be able to see true-brushed surfaces, from a range of subtle structures through to striking scratch finishes. Metallic surfaces with sandblast effects will also be presented in the latest colors. "The designs might be new,” reassures us Nicolas Wagner, Head of Business Area Plastic Decoration Sales and Marketing at Kurz, "but our customers can expect the same high level of quality, and consistent processability they have come to expect from all our products.”
Visit the Kurz booth A 19 in Hall 5 to find out more about various features that can be integrated into the surface, for example protection against fingerprints, or so-called NCVM (Non-Conductive Vacuum Metallized) coatings.
