Masterbatch for PP, PE and PET packaging reduces friction, eases mold release


A new de-nesting additive masterbatch is said to help thermoformers and injection molders of single-serve food and beverage trays and cups to improve their packing density, reduce friction between packaging and also help speed cycles by reducing the force required for mold release and de-nesting.

The new masterbatch, dubbed Denestur, is made and marketed by plastics masterbatch supplier Ampacet (Tarrytown, NY). The masterbatch can be used in plastics packaging made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP).
