Absolute Haitian (Worcester, MA) has debuted the Mars Series II, a second-generation hybrid injection molding press that ranges in clamp force from 67-4400 tons. The manufacturer will be showing the machine at its stand at the upcoming Plast-Ex 2013 show in Toronto (May 14-16).
"One of the big features is that all of our machines are prewired with an RJG interface, for the Dart system for decoupled molding," said Glenn Frohring, owner, Absolute Haitian Corp., in an interview with PlasticsToday. "It's very popular in the Midwest; there’s a lot of that philosophy behind automotive, RJG or Kistler, taking the standard machine and pushing more of the process into the mold cavity."
The Mars II utilizes a servomotor-driven gear pump hydraulic configuration, and is said to have a response time of 0.05 second. It also features complete closed loop control, and a 20-80% reduction in energy consumption compared to a conventional hydraulic machine. Absolute Haitian is the exclusive sales and service agent for Haitian injection molding machinery in the United States and Canada.
