Ionized air system offers alternative for air rinsing and static removal

Paxton Products, a division of Illinois Tool Works (ITW), says its new ionized air system offers manufacturers a more energy efficient static elimination, which aids bottling, canning, thermoforming and other manufacturing and packaging processes.

Previously, manufacturers were forced to rely on expensive compressed air or water rinsing systems, the company said. Paxton's ionized air system reportedly uses 80% less energy than compressed air cleaning products. The ionized air system offers enhanced durability and lower maintenance compared to externally-mounted ionizing bars. The system also enables manufacturers to avoid the water, filtration and disposal costs associated with water rinsing systems.
