Ineos: Merger of vinyls activities and refinancing

Ineos (Lyndhurst / UK; www.ineos.com) is reactivating the name Kerling, formerly used for Hydro Polymers (Oslo / Norway), which was acquired by the UK group from Norsk Hydro in 2008. This will go hand in hand with an internal merger of group vinyls assets and the issue of bonds to refinance debt. The new Kerling Group will combine the PVC activities Ineos picked up in the 2008 deal and now part of Ineos Norway, with those of its subsidiary Ineos ChlorVinyls.

The asset merger hinges on the success of a EUR 785m bond issue recently launched by Kerling plc, parent company of Ineos Norway.
