Imerys: Talc for lighter, greener polymers

These nucleating agents for polyolefin-based foam composites help to produce lightweight materials with improved stiffness at lower densities. They promote uniform bubble distribution and growth, reduced specific gravity and increased rigidity and strength of foamed products. Crys-Talc is a high brightness, micro-lamellar talc which is used as nucleating agent for homopolymer and copolymer polypropylene. New Mistroblock for film antiblocking lowers blocking force and coefficient of friction in polyethylene film production. It is also effective for biopolymer film production. The Steamic, Jetfine and HAR talc ranges are ideal reinforcing fillers and nucleating agents in bioplastics. They increase stiffness and temperature resistance allowing their use for more demanding rigid applications such as durable packaging and automotive parts.
The talc products are inert and infinitely recyclable in the end product.Hall 8a, stand F40
