On the topic of "Functional integration", the Institute will show how the integration of processes, materials and technologies can be used for the manufacture of high-quality products and the development of innovative applications, for example in optical technologies. It will present new processes for shortening the process chain such as integrated metal-plastic injection moulding and the projectile injection technique, which is a further development of GIT and WIT. IKV will also demonstrate so-called integrated products, such as structural parts made of plastic and metal, and components for E&E applications based on innovative, electrically conductive plastic compounds.
