Hirschmann Automotive GmbH (Rankweil, Austria) is just about to take delivery of the final four ELEKTRAs in a 13-machine order from Ferromatik Milacron (Malterdingen, Germany). The order represents the molder's 70th Ferromatik machine. All 70 are used to produce automotive connectors.
The latest order of all-electric ELEKTRAs range from 1100-1500 kN clamping force, and have been customized for Hirschmann's requirements, including magnetic platens. "We love the energy efficiency and excellent repeatability," said Markus Welte, head of electrical system engineering at Hirschmann.
