HUNGARY MOL: starts construction of TVK butadiene recovery unit

Expected to cost about EUR 120-million, the project will begin pilot operations in early 2015 and commissioning is planned for the second quarter of 2015.

The butadiene will be produced in a closed technology system that will not allow pollutions to leak into the atmosphere, MOL noted.

"Our goal is to continually expand our product slate and operations in Hungary through innovation and various projects. This new project thus simultaneously has great significance for the national economy as well as for maintaining MOL Group's competitiveness," explained MOL
Group Chairman and Chief Executive Zsolt Hernadi.
