H. B. Fuller to close 11 plants and cut 500 jobs

The North American facilities scheduled for closure by mid-2013 are: Pointe-Claire, Canada; Morris, IL; Kansas City, KS; Eugene, OR; Jackson, TN; and Dallas, TX, USA. In addition, the company will close the former Forbo corporate and research offices in Morrisville, NC, USA, by February 2013. The European facilities scheduled for closure are: Chatteris, UK; Pirmasens, ­Germany; Vigo, Spain; Borgolavezzaro, Italy; and Wels, Austria. According to the company, these facilities will be closed over the next two years. With 2011 revenues of USD 1.6 billion, H. B. Fuller serves customers in packaging, hygiene, paper converting, general assembly, woodworking, construction, and consumer businesses.
