This month will see the inaugural edition of MEDTEC India, a new trade show focused on the country's fast-moving medical device market. In addition to the exhibition, slated for Oct. 19-20, a 1-day conference will be organized on the 19th.
The events will be held at the Nehru Center in Mumbai, with free attendance to the exhibition but paid admittance only for the conference. India's medical device manufacturing sector is currently worth around $2 billion, an amount expected to triple by 2015. The two-day exhibition in Mumbai will showcase everything from biomaterials through to high-tech manufacturing technology, the latest in pharmaceutical and device packaging and sterilization, as well as best-in-class contract manufacturing services.
According to the organizers, our colleagues in UBM Canon's trade show business unit, the accompanying MEDTEC India Conference will provide delegates with insights into how to develop and build world-class products, how best-in-class manufacturing can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of medical device OEMs and their supply chains, and more.
