Comprehensive, modular machine series with high-quality equipment, universally usable for hotplate and infrared welding.
At the trade fair K 2013 in Düsseldorf in Hall 11, Stand G60, bielomatik is presenting the fundamentally redesigned series of completely electrically driven universal welding machines K225X especially for technical high-performance plastics, which are increasingly used in aviation and the automobile industry. With their special equipment characteristics, these welding machines increase quality and process security in joining complex plastic parts in serial production. Their servomotor drives ensure high accuracy and economical operation. Moreover, the electrically driven welding machines work in an especially environmentally friendly way. Expensive service work is eliminated. Profiting from these advantages are especially serial producers in the automobile field, but also manufacturers from other sectors that join parts with difficult geometries and made of sophisticated plastics.
Need-appropriate welding technology
Optionally, the machines for infrared welding can be equipped with short wavelength glass plunger heaters, with medium wavelength metal foil heaters or, for hotplate welding, with heating elements for contact heating for normal and high temperatures.
With heating elements, four heating zones and, additionally, four preheating zones are planned. If equipped with infrared glass tubes, 20 separate zones are available – or even more, depending on the part geometry and application. In the case of heating with infrared metal foils, infrared zones adapted to the respective welding applications can be integrated and implemented. In this way, the machines can be configured flexibly for welding different materials and material geometries.
Three machine sizes for tool base plates are available, with dimensions of 800 x 500 to 1800 x 800 mm and with different, generous opening widths.
Convenient set-up, programming and operation
In the basic version, tools can be changed manually simply and quickly from the front, optionally also from the back. Moreover, there are different highly automated changing systems with convenient user guidance. All functions and positioning of the tools are monitored electrically thereby.
The machine switching cabinet is pre-equipped with all assemblies necessary for a preheating station for heating elements. The Siemens S7 controller in combination with a Siemens control panel with touch-sensitive colour screen (touch-screen, picture diagonal size 8 inch) provides special programming and operating convenience. The machine operator specifies process-relevant parameters in a clear, graphically supported dialog. Of course, all relevant interfaces for documentation of process parameters or data backup onto corresponding data storage devices are available as needed.
The completely enclosed housing of the machines reliably holds back any aerosols that may arise. They can optionally be captured through an integrated exhaust unit or an external, central exhaust system.

The Neuffen-based machine builder has mastered the widest array of welding processes and so can offer optimal solutions for almost all technically used plastics. In scientific projects and its own R&D, bielomatik develops solutions and concepts for the high-performance plastics which are penetrating the “welding market” more and more, including fibre-reinforced lightweight construction materials (organic sheets) and high-temperature plastics (PPA, PPS, etc.). The spectrum includes laser welding modules, contact heating elements, contact-free infrared heaters with short and medium wavelengths, low- and high-frequency vibration welding systems, hot gas, heat contact and high-frequency processes.
