Wickert shows a universally applicable vacuum chamber press for compression and transfer moulding which can be supplied with pressing surfaces up to 700 x 800 mm. This makes moulds with very high calibre numbers possible. With a pressing force of 5500 kN injection pressures of up to 350 kg/cm² are available in the transfer pot. The transfer process enables many injection points on the component. The machine can be used in both hot channel and cold channel-transfer processes and is prepared for temperature control of the transfer pot.
The vacuum chamber ensures a reliable evacuation of the entire mould even in the case of complicated article geometries, before this is completely closed. This means that air inclusions are almost excluded.
The heating plates of the press are executed with a 6-zone-regulation which guarantees a temperature distribution of +/- 1°C even in the most outer cavities. The heating time can be greatly shortened as a rule due to this homogeneous temperature distribution in the individual cavities.
The separating and folding system make it possible for the operator to check visually all the function surfaces in the mould comfortably. Cleaning processes can be carried out quickly and comfortably. (In all 5 mould surfaces are presented)
The transfer pot that folds away is heated on the left hand side while the press is open. The demoulder on the right hand side can eject either from top to bottom or bottom to top. This is ensured by a hydraulic rotating device for the mould middle part.
The mould separating system operates through the lower heating plate when the sliding table is moved out of the press is synchronised hydraulically and separates the mould plates parallel, so that damage to the article is avoided.
The mould separating system is assembled so that the clearance zone in front of the press is retained and the press inner zone is also accessible for the operator.
Collecting systems, which can be supplied as drawer or conveyor belt, are offered for the area under the demoulder.
This vacuum chamber press is suitable above all for rubber-metal-combinations. The loading of metal parts by Loading-Racket is very easy due to the good accessibility to the mould plates, making it easy to check afterwards whether the parts are all lying in the right position in the cavities.
The machining time of the press is reduced by the use of servo-hydraulics and rapid swivel motors, so that large and heavy moulds with many cavities can be operated economically.
