Entek Extruders (Lebanon, OR) has boosted its headcount by 40% since March 2010 as sales in all its businesses, including twin-screw extruders and replacement wear parts, were "dramatically" higher than in 2009. John Effmann, director of sales and marketing, told PlasticsToday that Entek's staffing levels now exceed pre-recession levels, and the momentum that started in last year has carried into 2011 as well.
Effmann said the supplier of turnkey production systems, twin-screw extruders, and components has seen the bulk of its business coming from machine and systems sales, but wear parts growth has been equally strong in terms of comparative numbers. Effmann also noted that Entek has been further buoyed by the launch of its plant services segment.
ENTEK has hired across all facets of its business, including engineers, machinists, assemblers, and purchasing agents.
